The necklace consists of 2 carved turtles accented with faceted disc shaped Sunstone and a lava bead on an 18” with 2” extender gold ribbon cord. The pendant itself measures 2 ¾ long by 3/4” wide at its widest point. The earrings consist of 1 carved turtle accented with faceted disc shape Sunstone and gold toned artisan crystals on gold toned ear wire. They measure 1 ¾” long x ½” wide.
Lava stone beads are, in fact, exactly what they sound like. Each bead is a type of igneous rock made from cooled molten rock. When a volcano erupts, as the lava spreads and cools, it becomes solid, porous, and black. The pores/holes make each piece very lightweight; easy to thread and wear and are the perfect stone to add your essential oils or perfume to.
