Smudging

Smudging involves the burning of one or more medicines gathered from the earth. The most common sacred medicines used in smudging are sage, cedar, and juniper; sweetgrass is also used but is less common.

steps and rationale for this cleansing process called smudge:

  • We smudge to clear the air around us.
  • We smudge to clean our minds so that we will have good thoughts of others.
  • We smudge our eyes so that we will only see the good in others.
  • We smudge our ears so that we will only listen to positive things about others.
  • We smudge our mouths so that we will only speak well of others.
  • We smudge our arms to do the good work that we do in a loving and caring way.
  • We smudge our feet so that we walk in a good way.
  • We smudge the bottom of our feet to cleanse the connection between ourselves and Mother Earth.
  • We smudge our heart to cleanse it of negativity.
  • We smudge our hair to cleanse away any negativity we may be carrying

. • We smudge our back to release any negativity we may carry and let it go (turn clockwise and complete the circle once back is done).

  • We smudge our whole being so we will portray only the good part of ourselves through our actions.
  • We smudge to cleanse negative energy within our own being or any negative energy in a space.

Once you have finished your smudge, the person that is doing the smudge must let it burn out completely. You can take care of it right away or empty the bowl in a metal can and at a later date take it outdoors onto the land and find a tree. Empty the can at the base of the tree or dig a hole and empty it into the hole. Location should be away from schools, homes, or parks where it can be left undisturbed. The concept is that smudging allows people to stop, slow down, become mindful and centered. This allows people to remember, connect and be grounded in the event, task or purpose at hand.

Smudging also allows people to let go of something negative. Letting go of things that inhibit a person from being balanced and focused comes from the feeling of being calm and safe while smudging.

Smudging with white sage is also used to keep flying insects away (bees, gnats, no see ums, mosquitos)

Make sure to use a fire proof container when setting out or to wrap in aluminum foil and poke holes when tossing into a fire.

CHAKRAS

What are chakras? In Sanskrit, the word “chakra” means “disk” or “wheel” and refers to the energy centers in your body. These wheels or disks of spinning energy each correspond to certain nerve bundles and major organs.

There are seven main chakras situated along the spine, from the base of your spine to the crown of your head. This age-old belief has become integrated into many New Age styles of thought.Chakras are thought to provide subtle energy that helps your organs, mind, and intellect work at their best level. Chakras and spiritual energy have not been thoroughly examined in medical studies, but they may help you think about your own mind and body like any religion or belief.

Our Chakra jewelry is made out of AAA grade crystals and put together with good intentions and blessings. All bracelets are strung on a 80# monofilament cord and have a magnetic clasp.

CROWN CHAKRA

The seven chakras are the points that energy flows through in the body. When open and balanced, energy moves freely through them and spiritual and physical healing can occur.
The crown chakra (or Sahasrara chakra) is the seventh chakra, and it sits at the very top of your head. This particular chakra’s meaning is all about spiritual connectivity.
It gives us access to higher states of consciousness as we open to what is beyond our personal preoccupations and visions. The function of the Crown chakra is driven by consciousness and gets us in touch with the universal.
Note that energetically, the seventh chakra has a connection with the first chakra, as they both are at the extremities of the chakra system.
The crown chakra is most commonly represented with the color white, although it can also be depicted as deep purple. The auric color of crown chakra energy can also be seen as gold, white, or clear light.
The Crown chakra is primarily associated to the pituitary gland, and secondarily to the pineal and the hypothalamus. The hypothalamus and pituitary gland work in pair to regulate the endocrine system.  Because of its location, the crown chakra is closely associated with the brain and the whole nervous system.
The crown chakra is associated with the following psychological and behavioral characteristics:
Consciousness
Awareness of higher consciousness, wisdom, of what is sacred
Connection with the formless, the limitless
Realization, liberation from limiting patterns
Communion with higher states of consciousness, with
Ecstasy, bliss
Presence
A deficiency in the crown chakra tends to cause subtle, systemic problems. These include:
Depression and mental fog
Chronic fatigue
Migraines and other chronic headaches
Greed and materialism
An excess of energy in the crown chakra can also cause problems including:
Sensitivity to light and sound
Neurological or endocrine disorders
Boredom and frustration
A sense of elitism or unearned accomplishment
An unbalanced crown chakra can also play a role in learning disabilities, comas, sleep disorders and mental illness.
The crown chakra is associated with the transcendence of our limitations, whether they are personal or bound to space and time. It is where the paradox becomes norm, where seemingly opposites are one. The quality of awareness that comes with the crown chakra is universal, transcendent.
As we are immersed in the energy of the crown chakra, we feel a state of blissful union with all that is, of spiritual ecstasy. This chakra allows access to the upmost clarity and enlightened wisdom.
Some describe this chakra as the gateway to the cosmic self or the divine self, to universal consciousness. It’s linked to the infinite, the universal.
Often referred to as the “thousand petal lotus” chakra, it is the highest chakra and its openness can impact on (or be influenced by) anything on the following list:
How much beauty you can see in the world around you
Your excitement levels
Motivation to reach goals
Whether you have restful sleep
Your ability to find peace
Your self-worth
When your crown chakra is properly aligned and fully open, you will experience a lot of pleasure in life. You’ll feel grateful, alive and like your days are full of joy. With regular crown chakra healing exercises, you can enhance your spiritual awareness and begin to enjoy the little moments of beauty life has to offer.
On the other hand, when you’re afflicted with a crown chakra blockage you’re likely to experience troubling crown chakra symptoms. As a result, you can become disillusioned, bored, melancholy and restless, it can cause mental and physical disease. A blockage in the crown chakra can lead to spiritual malaise and other problems.
That said, as soon as you learn how to cope with a crown chakra imbalance, you can reduce the long-term impact of a blockage and get back to feeling good as soon as possible. The crown chakra can produce different symptoms depending on excessive or insufficient activity.
The following are symptoms of an overactive crown chakra:
Cynicism
Apathy
Disconnecting from your spirituality
Self-destructive tendencies
Meanwhile, the following are common symptoms of an underactive crown chakra:
Confusion about what you want to do
Lack of inspiration
Desire to oversleep
The crown chakra’s meaning is also connected to physical symptoms. Among them are the following:
Poor coordination
Chronic tension headaches
Exhaustion
Your Sahasrara chakra can become blocked in a wide range of scenarios, so there is no foolproof way to know when its alignment is in jeopardy. However, common things that block the crown chakra include mid-life crises (such as reevaluating your job or relationship), negative feedback on things that are sources of pride for you, and conflicted family relationships
When the Crown chakra has an imbalance, it can manifest as:
Being disconnected to spirit, constant cynicism regarding what is sacred
On the opposite side, an overactive crown chakra could manifest as a disconnection with the body
Living in your head, being disconnected from your body and earthly matters
Obsessive attachment to spiritual matters
Closed-mindedness
An imbalance in the crown chakra leads to spiritual distress. Symptoms of a blockage in the seventh chakra include:
Isolation and loneliness; inability to connect with others
Lack of direction
Inability to set or maintain goals
Feeling disconnected spiritually
Physical symptoms of a blocked crown chakra include:
Neurological disorders
Nerve pain
Thyroid and pineal gland disorders
Alzheimer’s
Recurring headaches, migraines
Schizophrenia and delusional disorders
Insomnia
Depression

  1. Crown Chakra Meditation And Yoga Techniques
All meditation practices are good for keeping the seven chakras open and aligned. Meditation promotes self-awareness, emotional regulation, and relaxation. In addition, there are chakra meditation techniques for beginners that target each chakra.
Here are the steps you need to go through a simple crown chakra meditation:
Get comfortable, sitting with your back straight and your feet on the floor.
Put your hands in your lap and turn your palms to the sky. This position is called the “mudra” and helps you receive energy.
Shut your eyes and inhale through your nose, exhaling through your mouth.
Imagine a lotus at the top of your head. As you continue to breathe slowly and evenly, see the lotus petals unfurling to show you a bright violet light—the crown chakra color.
Picture the light getting brighter and brighter, warming the crown of your head.
Let that warmth spread downwards throughout your whole body.
After 5-10 minutes, open your eyes and sit quietly for a few minutes.
In addition, crown chakra yoga techniques include the following poses: the plow, the supported headstand, and the seated lotus position. If you don’t already know how to do these, simple picture guides can easily be found with a quick search.
  1. Chakra Foods List And Diet Suggestions
Unlike other chakras, the crown chakra does not have any healing food specific to it. This is because of its role in spiritual nourishment. Nurturing the body with wholesome, healthy foods while focusing on spiritual things can help heal this chakra.
The most famous chakra foods are natural, wholesome foods that promote general well-being. Think of fresh and organic vegetables and fruits, brown rice, brown bread and hearty broths, for example. All such foods help to bring your energy centers into alignment.
Meanwhile, when you’re paying attention to one chakra above the others, it’s useful to look to foods that have a traditional connection with that chakra.
For the crown chakra, all of the following ingredients help to keep it open and receptive:
Violet foods:
Eggplant and red grapes are good examples, as they’re in tune with the main color of the crown chakra.
Passionfruit is another excellent option.
Ginger: This spice is said to have cleansing benefits, and it can help to promote spiritual clarity.
Herbal teas: On a similar theme of clarity, herbal teas can reduce blockages in the crown chakra.       Peppermint is probably the best option, and it has the added bonus of promoting health in your digestive system.
It’s also worth noting that since the crown chakra is purely spiritual, some experts think the absence of certain foods can be more important than presence. So, any time you cut back on fatty or sugary foods that contain empty calories, you’re helping to heal your crown chakra.
  1. Crown Chakra Affirmations To Use
Finally, if you aren’t already saying daily affirmations then now is a great time to start!
Affirmations are a well-known technique for balancing the chakras. All of them aim to boost confidence, and since the crown chakra is connected to self-esteem then it standards to reason that affirmations generally promote an open crown chakra.
In addition, think about adding some of the following crown chakra affirmations to your daily routine:
“I am constantly connected to my highest self.”
“We are all on this earth to make a difference.”
“I am attuned to the divine energy of the universe.”
“I know my own spiritual truth and I live in accordance with it.”
“Today I am open to divine guidance.”
“I see the beauty in the world and I embrace it.”
“Lovingly, I emit light that attracts others who will bring love into my life.”
“I am love, I am light, and I am joy.”
“I am at one with the world around me.”
“Right now, I am confident, happy and sure of my worth.”
Affirmation use has a lot to do with personal preference, so feel free to try saying your affirmations are different times of the day.
For example, you might find that saying them before work sets you up for a positive day, or you may feel that reciting them before bed ensures a peaceful night’s sleep.

THIRD EYE CHAKRA

The third eye chakra is the sixth chakra. Located on the forehead, between the eyebrows, it is the center of intuition and foresight. The function of the third eye chakra is driven by the principle of openness and imagination.
The most commonly accepted location for the sixth chakra is between the eyebrows, slightly above at the bridge of your nose. Contrary to a common misconception, it is not located in the middle of the forehead, but between the eyes where the eyebrows would meet. It can also be described as being located behind the eyes in the middle of the head. Note that secondary chakras run along the midline of the forehead, but the third eye chakra is typically located lower.
The Third eye chakra is associated to the pineal gland in charge of regulating biorhythms, including sleep and wake time. It’s a gland located in the brain that is a center of attention because of its relationship with the perception and effect of light and altered or “mystical” states of consciousness. It’s positioned close to the optical nerves, and as such, sensitive to visual stimulations and changes in lighting.
This chakra is related to the “supreme element”, which is the combination of all the elements in their pure form.
The third eye chakra is associated with the following psychological and behavioral characteristics:
Vision
Intuition
Perception of subtle dimensions and movements of energy
Psychic abilities related to clairvoyance and clairaudience especially
Access to mystical states, illumination
Connection to wisdom, insight
Motivates inspiration and creativity
The third eye chakra is an instrument to perceive the more subtle qualities of reality. It goes beyond the more physical senses into the realm of subtle energies. Awakening your third eye allows you to open up to an intuitive sensibility and inner perception.
Because it connects us with a different way of seeing and perceiving, the third eye chakra’s images are often hard to describe verbally. It puts us in touch with the ineffable and the intangible more closely. Third eye visions are also often more subtle than regular visions: They may appear a bit “blurry”, ghost-like, cloudy, or dream-like. Sometimes however, the inner visions might be clear like a movie playing in front of your eyes.
Sustaining awareness of third eye chakra energy might require focus and the ability to relax into a different way of seeing. When we focus our mind and consciousness, we can see beyond the distractions and illusions that stand before us and have more insight to live and create more deeply aligned with our highest good.
The third eye chakra is associated with the archetypal dimensions, as well as the realm of spirits.
So, when your third eye is open, you will use both feelings and logic to make big decisions in life. You will trust in your own intuitions, and you will be comfortable knowing that you’re living your purpose. When you practice third eye chakra healing, you can notice a profound difference in your atonement with the world around you, and on your ability to be mindful.
When you’re dealing with a third eye chakra blockage, you can start to pick up negative third eye chakra symptoms. This can develop when something causes you to doubt your intuition’s accuracy, or when something gives you a reason to question what you thought was your purpose.
When the Third eye chakra has an imbalance, it can manifest as:
Feeling stuck in the daily grind without being able to look beyond your problems and set a guiding vision for yourself
Overactive third chakra without support from the rest of the chakra system may manifest as fantasies that appear more real than reality, indulgence in psychic fantasies and illusions
Not being able to establish a vision for oneself and realize it
Rejection of everything spiritual or beyond the usual
Not being able to see the greater picture
Lack of clarity
When your Third Eye Chakra is blocked, you may struggle to have faith in your broader purpose. So, you may feel there’s no point to what you’re doing, or feel it is insignificant. You might also be struck by your inability to make decisions. Some people describe this as a feeling of psychological paralysis. If you have a blocked Third Eye Chakra, you might have trouble sleeping, feel clumsy, and struggle to learn new things.
Symptoms of a Blocked Third Eye Chakra
No one goes through life without having to think about how to unblock chakras now and again. So, don’t worry if third eye chakra healing has to be performed repeatedly.
The most important thing is just to be able to detect signs and symptoms of third eye chakra problems so that you act on them as soon as possible. Here are some of the most common:
Lack of faith in your purpose
Feeling pointless
Indecisiveness
Finding your work or life insignificant
Paranoia
Third eye blockages can also trigger a range of troublesome physical symptoms. The most frequently reported include:
Headaches (including migraines)
Eye discomfort
Back and leg pain
Sinus pain
Everyone has different triggers that spark the need for third eye healing. However, it’s useful to be aware of some of the most common causes of blockages in the third eye.
For example, when someone belittles your vocation or passion, this can push the third eye chakra out of alignment.
Similarly, going through a transitional life experience like illness, death, job loss or divorce can create a blockage. Even just moving into a new period (e.g. around a significant birthday) has an impact on your third eye chakra, given how sensitive it is to your perception of your life’s worth.
Third eye healing is not as murky or complex as it might sound. While the third eye opening experience can be profound, the types of techniques that open the third eye chakra are surprisingly simple.
There is a chakra colors test that ties various different shades to different chakras. For the third eye chakra, the key color is purple. This gives you useful information to finding third eye chakra stones to work with. The third eye chakra is most commonly represented with the color purple or bluish purple. The auric color of third eye chakra energy can also be seen as translucent purple or bluish white.
The thought is that you can find jewelry featuring purple stones and wear it anytime you need to unblock the third eye chakra. You can also purchase larger third eye crystals that will sit in your pocket or in the palm of your hand, allowing you to squeeze them and focus on them when you need to keep your third eye chakra open.
Some of the best third eye stones include the following:
Purple fluorite:
This semi-precious gem is supposed to promote sharpened intuition and to clear up muddled thoughts. It’s an ideal third eye chakra crystal when you’re trying to make a difficult choice and want to get rid of irrelevant distractions.
Amethyst:                         A famous and beautiful precious stone, amethyst is traditionally connected to third eye headache relief as well as all forms of healing. Some people also use it to represent wisdom.
Black Obsidian: Another popular member of the third eye crystals group, black obsidian promotes balance between emotion and reason.
Lapis Lazuli
Lapis Lazuli is the firm choice for opening the Third Eye Chakra. It aligns perfectly with the navy blue color of the Third Eye Chakra. It is the stone of “Total Awareness”, bringing you a perspective that is omnipotent and multidimensional
Labradorite
deflects unwanted energies. This crystal makes an excellent tool for those practicing metaphysics and the supernatural. It open up the Third Eye chakra while protecting you from negative forces.
Sodalite
encourages rational thought and calms the mind. It clears electromagnetic radiation and pollution. It is an excellent stone to eliminate mental confusion so you can meditate in peace.
Azurite
called the “stone of heaven” as it is said to aid in developing psychic awareness, meditation skills and spiritual abilities. Azurite enhances intuition at the Third Eye, and guides you to be accurate in depicting psychic experiences.
However, third eye meditation is just one of many ways to work on opening this chakra. And there are plenty of chakra meditation techniques for beginners, so don’t worry if you’ve never tried mindfulness or meditation. Here’s one to start with:
Sit comfortably and close your eyes. Inhale and exhale ten times, slowly and deeply.
Focus your attention on the location of the third eye chakra, imagine a violet sphere of energy in the middle of your forehead. Remember, purple is the third eye chakra’s color.
As you continue to breathe slowly and deeply, picture the purple ball of energy getting bigger and warmer. As it does, imagine it purging negativity from your body.
Think of yourself of absorbing the third eye chakra’s energy—allow yourself to feel it all over.
Open your eyes when you feel ready.
As you may have guessed, yoga can also be helpful when learning how to balance your chakras. Third eye yoga poses include the child pose and the eagle pose. You can find pictures and videos that will guide you through these straightforward positions. You may notice 3rd eye chakra opening symptoms soon after!
  1. Chakra Foods List And Diet Suggestions
As is intuitive, basic chakra foods (i.e. ones that help all chakras) are all healthy staples. For example, all fruits, vegetables, healthy fats and wholegrain foods tend to promote openness throughout the chakra system.
However, there are also specific third eye chakra foods, and adding them to your daily diet can help to prevent or combat blockages. Keep the following in mind:
Dark chocolate: If you like dark chocolate, feel free to have as much as you want when you’re trying to open the third eye! It is said to help enhance mental clarity and boost concentration. It is a great source of magnesium, which destresses you. As a bonus, it promotes the release of serotonin, putting you in a more positive mood.
Anything purple: Given that purple is the third eye’s color, all purple foods promote its balance. Some of the best examples include eggplant, purple cabbage, red grapes, blueberries, and blackberries.
Omega-3: Foods that are rich in omega-3 can enhance cognitive function and thereby help to keep your third eye chakra open. Good choices include walnuts, salmon, chia seeds and sardines.
Third Eye Chakra Affirmations To Use
Affirmations are phrases that target negative, limiting beliefs and replace them with more positive beliefs. They can be used to help you with everything from weight loss to finding love, so it stands to reason that they can also be used to balance chakras.
three-tips-for-creating-powerful-affirmations
When designing third eye affirmations, in particular, you want to focus on spirituality, your gut instincts, and your basic sense of purpose. Here are some examples you can try. Feel free to adjust them until they feel right:
“I follow the lead of my inner teacher.”
“I know how to make the right decisions, and I do so with ease.”
“I hear my intuitions and I know they will lead me to my purpose.”
“I am on my true path.”
“I live every day in accordance with my life’s purpose.”
“I trust the guidance that my third eye gives me.”
“I have unlimited possibilities available to me.”
“I am an intuitive person, and I know what is right for me.”
“It is safe and good to follow the guidance of my third eye.”
“My third eye is open and ready to see my purpose.”

THROAT CHAKRA

Often called the Vishuddha, the throat chakra rests in the middle of your neck, right at the throat. It is intimately connected to all your self-expression, so it affects (and is affected by) everything to do with communication.
The Throat chakra is the fifth chakra. Located at the center of the neck at the level of the throat, it is the passage of the energy between the lower parts of the body and the head. The function of the Throat chakra is driven by the principle of expression and communication.
This chakra is related to the element of sound. Through the throat, sound is propagated into the air and its vibration can be felt not just in our ears, but also in our whole body. It is an important instrument of communication and expression.
The Throat chakra is associated to the pharyngeal and brachial plexi and is connected to the mouth, jaws, tongue, pharynx and palate.  It’s is also linked to the shoulders and the neck. The gland associated with the fifth chakra is the thyroid, which regulates the processing of energy in the body through temperature, growth, and in large parts, metabolism.
The Throat chakra is about the expression of yourself: Your truth, purpose in life, creativity. Note that this chakra has a natural connection with the second chakra or sacral chakra, center of emotions and creativity as well. The throat chakra’s emphasis is on expressing and projecting the creativity into the world according to its perfect form or authenticity.
With respect to throat chakra healing, in particular, the throat chakra’s meaning can mean you may quickly find that you see improvements in communication in a wide range of areas. This can be freeing and empowering, helping you to live a more authentic life.
Anytime you work on aligning your chakras, you maximize your chances of creating a happy, well-balanced life.
It can also end periods of dissatisfaction in relationships or in the workplace, finally letting you find the words to say what you really feel and think.
The throat chakra can impact on all of the following:
A blocked throat chakra can contribute to feelings of insecurity, timidity, and introversion. On the other end of the spectrum, an overactive throat chakra may also lead to gossiping, nonstop talking, and being verbally aggressive or mean. It can seem as though the filter between the discourse you have in your mind and what comes out of your mouth is not working, or missing entirely.
Your emotional honesty
Whether you live an authentic life
How well you handle conflict or confrontation
The quality of your relationships
Your ability to be heard
Awareness of your needs
When the throat chakra has an imbalance, it can manifest as:
Lack of control over one’s speech; speaking too much or inappropriately;
Not being able to listen to others
Excessive fear of speaking
Small, imperceptible voice
Not being able to keep secrets, to keep your word
Telling lies
On the opposite side, a closed throat chakra might manifest as excessive secretiveness or shyness
Lack of connection with a vocation or purpose in life
In other words, when your throat chakra is open, you’ll be great at making yourself understood. You’ll be able to say what you really want to say, but with tact. You’ll know what you need, and be able to state that out loud in a way that gets people to listen. This type of alignment in the throat chakra has a wonderful influence on both your personal and professional lives, as good communication is vital in all significant relationships.
When the throat chakra is disturbed, blocked throat chakra symptoms begin to emerge. This can happen any time you find it difficult to communicate with others, or anytime someone makes you feel like they’re not listening to you.
Symptoms of a Blocked Throat Chakra
It’s normal to have throat chakra problems every now and again. Even when you become an expert at knowing how to balance your chakras, you’ll still experience blockages sometimes.
In each case, however, you’ll experience telltale throat chakra symptoms that let you know it’s time to deploy your most effective throat chakra healing exercises.
In particular, look out for the following:
Difficulty saying what you want to
Lacking the vocabulary to describe your emotions
Feeling like you’re holding onto too many secrets
A sense that people don’t know the “real you”
Meanwhile, physical problems caused by a misaligned throat chakra can include one or more of the following:
A sore throat
Erratic fluctuations in hormone levels
A stiff or achy neck
All chakras can develop minor blockages that are hard to understand, so don’t be hard on yourself if you can’t always identify the source. That being said, it’s worth knowing some of the classic triggers for a blocked throat chakra.
The main examples revolve around painful experiences of communication. For example, your throat chakra can be pushed out of alignment by a cruel, negative appraisal at work, or by harsh words said in an argument. You are also more likely to develop this sort of blockage if you were raised to keep your feelings to yourself.
Emotional Issues and Behaviors of Blocked Throat Chakra:
A blocked Throat Chakra primarily manifests in an inability to say what you really want to say. You may feel like you’re stuck holding onto secrets, that people don’t want to hear your thoughts, or that you can’t find the right words for your feelings. Once again, a small blockage may mean you only struggle with self-expression at work, or with a particular friend.
Meanwhile, a significant misalignment may mean you constantly feel thwarted in communication.
Physically, a blocked Throat Chakra may present with pain in the neck, sensitivity to hormone fluctuations, and discomfort in throat tissue.

  1. Throat Chakra Meditation And Yoga Techniques
Ideally, you should do your throat healing meditation once a day for at least 10 minutes, but you may see improvements even if you only practice a few times a week.
Here’s what to do:
Sit down in a comfortable chair in a quiet room.
Inhale and exhale 10 times, as deeply as you can. Breathe in through your nose, and then exhale through your mouth.
Starting at the top of your head, scan down the body and imagine your muscles relaxing as you go.
When you’ve done this for your whole body, picture a spinning ball in a shade of blue (the throat chakra color). See it sitting at the level of your throat, and imagine it glowing.
See the blue sphere getting bigger and bigger, focusing on a feeling of openness and relaxation in the throat.
Allow the energy to disperse through your body, and then open your eyes when you’re ready.
Meanwhile, some of the best throat chakra poses include the baby cobra pose, shoulder stand, and supported fish pose. You can find easy demonstrations of all of these online.
  1. Chakra Foods List And Diet Suggestions
These are some chakra foods that promote overall openness and balance. As a bonus, these foods are very much in line with overall healthy eating.
Think of wholegrain foods like brown rice, along with reducing overall sugar intake.
Here are some of the popular throat chakra healing foods:
Blueberries:
Perhaps unsurprisingly (given their blue hue), blueberries are among the most potent foods for the throat chakra. They can be mixed with blackberries and coconut to create a delicious, healing smoothie for the throat chakra. Try consuming it when you know you’re going to have to have a challenging conversation!
Fruits that grow on trees:
Apples, oranges and all other fruits that grow on trees are traditionally associated with the throat chakra. Experts say this is because these foods symbolize authenticity (due to the fact they only fall from their tree when they’re ready to eat).
Simple spices:
Add salt, lemongrass or ginger to foods when you’re trying to heal the throat chakra. All of these promote clear self-expression.
  1. Throat Chakra Affirmations To Use
Any time you say an affirmation that feels honest and accurate, you’re promoting a healthy throat chakra. This means that you don’t really have to go out of your way to generate throat chakra affirmations. Simply sticking to a daily affirmation practice will go a long way.
That being said, chakra healing practitioners do advise that you also consider adding targeted throat chakra affirmations to your list. Here are some useful ones to consider:
“I can vocalize my emotions, no matter what they are.”
“My voice is important in this world.”
“I honor my true voice, and I let it speak.”
“I am an empathetic listener and a clear communicator.”
“When I speak, my contributions are honest but balanced.”
“I can find the right words in all situations.”
“Others hear my voice.”
“I speak my true thoughts with ease.”
“Let go of doubt about the word I ‘should’ have said.”
“I am always understood by others.”
When you say these affirmations, do so into a mirror and watch your lips move as you do so. This strengthens the impact your words can have on your throat chakra, emphasizing their connection to communication.

HEART CHAKRA

The heart chakra (4Th – Anahata) is the centre of love, compassion, relationships, unconditional love and forgiveness. It’s the energy chest of your emotions, so a blockage or imbalance can have a profound effect on your life.

Found in the centre of the chest, The heart chakra is positioned directly above the heart. So, slightly to the left at the center of your chest. It is both green and pink in colour and connects the lower physical chakras with the higher spiritual chakras. It’s also said to be associated with the thymus gland. Sometimes called the Anahata, it both responds to and helps to shape your capacity for compassion, affection, and love.

If you particularly want to improve your emotional life, understand your feelings and become happier, it’s well worth focusing on the heart chakra.

Whether you’re sad in the wake of a breakup, battling wounds inflicted in the distant past or feeling lonely due to a lack of social connection, you likely have a blocked heart chakra On the other hand, a blocked heart chakra can develop in response to anything in life that is emotionally hurtful, or that drains your emotional resources. Difficult relationships are the main cause. These need not be romantic. Toxic friendships are just as capable of blocking the heart chakra.

You might be dealing with the end of a relationship, or with an imbalanced relationship where your love doesn’t seem to be reciprocated. Any kind of grief or loss can also mean you need to practice heart chakra healing exercises.

In addition, if you’re struggling to accept a truth about yourself, this type of emotional repression can also push the heart chakra out of alignment.

Experts view the Heart Chakra as a kind of bridge between thought, emotions, and spirituality, meaning the Anahata or heart chakra is sometimes the most important of all. The heart chakra is connected to all of the following:

Your capacity for empathy

The intensity which you can care for another person

Your emotional openness

Self-knowledge

Self-reflective capacities

How peaceful you feel

Emotional Issues and Behaviors of Blocked Heart Chakra:

When the Heart Chakra is blocked or misaligned, you’ll struggle to relate to other people. You will be less compassionate than usual and may be impatient. You’ll commonly find it harder than usual to trust, and you won’t feel at peace. Rather, you’ll feel restless and disgruntled. A blocked Heart Chakra can also manifest physically. Some Chakra experts think such a misalignment may be linked to issues like high blood pressure and low immune system function.

So, when your heart chakra is properly aligned and fully open, you are a compassionate, giving person. You feel loving and calm. This doesn’t mean that you focus all your efforts on others, however. Having an aligned heart chakra is also about knowing where to draw boundaries in your emotional life. This includes identifying and separating from toxic relationships. Openness in the heart chakra also allows you to make sense of your own feelings, fully experiencing the and yet also seeing their rational roots.

Symptoms Of A Blocked Heart Chakra

Every chakra moves out of alignment at times or develops blockages. These blockages can be minor or major, but will always lead you to feel physically or emotionally off balance. Blocked heart chakra symptoms include the following:

Restlessness

Difficulty trusting others

Impatience and irritability

Lack of empathy

Some of the physical symptoms of a blocked heart chakra can include these (though note that these issues can, of course, have purely biological roots):

Insomnia

Increase in blood pressure

A decrease in immune system function

There will be times when you don’t know exactly what has gone wrong with your heart chakra. Healing doesn’t require that you know the cause.

An opened heart chakra allows you to better understand and meet your needs, and to give love to others. You may also find that intense emotions gradually become less frightening to you. You can develop new ways of accepting and moving past your emotions without having to repress them.

As a bonus, an open heart chakra is actually useful for all forms of chakra healing. When your mind, body, and spirituality are working together, it’s easier to create harmony in your whole body.

how to unblock chakras, and to realign the heart chakra in particular?

  1. Use Heart Chakra Stones And Jewelry For Healing

Chakra stones are very easy to use. Sometimes, all you need to do is wear them on your person (e.g. in a necklace or earrings). You should also consider holding one in your hand during a heart chakra meditation, too (we’ll look at how to do that type of meditation in a moment).

The heart chakra colors test indicates that green is the color most closely associated with this chakra but pink is also associated. Consequently, many of the following heart healing stones are green:

Jade:

This semi-precious heart chakra stone is linked to balance, and to emotional healing. You can benefit from focusing on this stone when you are dealing with a loss or an emotional injury.

Green calcite:

Traditionally used to absorb negativity, this is an excellent choice when you are finding it hard to feel empathy. This stone can help you focus on recovering from compassion fatigue.

Green aventurine:

This stone is liked to energy, vitality, and inspiration. It is said to soothe difficult emotions, and to assist in bouncing back from emotional roadblocks.

Rose quartz:

Heart chakra crystals aren’t always green. This pink stone is sometimes called the “heart stone” and is said to help you regain balance.

 Rhodochrosite

use as a deep cleanser of the Anahata chakra. It’s particularly useful for easing stubborn blockages caused by past hurts. Being an emotional releaser, it raises self-confidence and eradicates self-doubt and self-criticism.

Emerald

Emerald is thought to be the purest form of green ray energy, so it’s a great option for healing and opening the heart chakra.

As the stone of successful love, it can bring balance to relationships, encourage loyalty, and enhance unconditional love. But be careful, as a change of colour can indicate unfaithfulness!

 Rhodonite

As a rescue stone, Rhodonite is favoured by counsellors for encouraging forgiveness and honesty of speech. It’s also one of the most powerful stones for resonating with the heart chakra.

Rhodonite has been referred to as an emotional balancer. It can help show both sides of an Argument, while also offering balance when stressed. This can be helpful during difficult periods of a relationship, when compromise and compassion are vital.

Malachite

Malachite has a vibrant green energy and is one of the most powerful stones for the heart chakra. It absorbs negative energies and helps eliminate destructive thought patterns and behaviours.

  1. Heart Chakra Meditation And Yoga Techniques

If you want to learn how to balance your chakras, it’s very wise to have a daily meditation practice.

specific heart chakra meditation techniques you can use when you sense a blockage developing. Here is one of the best heart chakra meditation techniques for beginners:

Find a comfortable, relaxing place where you won’t be disturbed

Sit and breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth for a few minutes. Feel your body relaxing as you do this.

Imagine that you’re drawing green energy up through your body towards the heart, starting at the base of the spine and moving upwards.

Picture that energy solidifying into a bright ball of green energy sitting at the level of the heart chakra. As you inhale and exhale, see that ball becoming bigger and brighter.

Focus on tuning into feelings of love for yourself and others, letting the green energy radiate through your whole body. Emerge from the meditation after 3-5 minutes.

Here are some of the best heart chakra foods to consume when you feel blocked or unsettled:

Green foods: Anything green is linked to the heart chakra. This means you can’t go wrong with ingredients like kale, limes, green bell peppers, spinach and green apples. All of these can help balance your heart.

Warm soups: A hearty and rich soup can help to replenish your emotional stores and help you recover from difficult experiences. There is also anecdotal evidence that soups can promote recovery from illness, and the immune system is often at low capacity when charkas are misaligned.

Foods rich in vitamin C: Finally, orange juice, strawberries and other fruits that contain plenty of vitamin C can help the heart chakra. You can combine these fruits with green vegetables to create a super healthy smoothie.

  1. Heart Chakra Affirmations To Use

You may already be using affirmations, as they are wonderful for getting rid of old, limiting beliefs and building confidence. Even so, it’s worth adding some new affirmations to your routine or adjusting some of your old ones. This is because you can get the heart chakra to directly respond to affirmations by using certain words and phrases. You can say them every day to ward off potential blockages, but you can also repeat them if you think you can feel the heart chakra closing up.

Here are some good examples:

“I choose joy, compassion, and love.”

“I love myself unconditionally, and offer the same love to others.”

“My heart is free from all the wounds of the past.”

“I know my own emotions, and I accept whatever form they may take.”

“I forgive others, and I forgive myself.”

“Every day, I fulfill my heart’s desire.”

“I am open to love, and receive more of it every day.”

“I give love freely, and it brings me joy.”

“My heart chakra is open, and I am well.”

“I create supportive, loving relationships that are good for me.”

SOLAR PLEXUS

The third chakra, also known as the solar plexus chakra or manipura chakra, is located just above the navel and below the center breastbone. It’s connected with the color yellow and is associated with personal power, self-confidence, responsibility and will power. It asks us to be more aware of who we truly are and then show up in our life being that person. This chakra’s energy asks the questions “How do you digest your life? Are you fluid and flowing or are you stuck?”  This chakra demands the truth of authenticity. Everyone has unique gifts, personal truths and a souls journey to fulfill.
Since the solar plexus chakra also has a lot to do with life purpose, working on this chakra can also reduce procrastination. Similarly, it can help you ensure you’re using your time to create a better future for yourself. We’ll turn now to look at four specific ways in which you can unblock your solar plexus chakra. Remember to consider how you can integrate these techniques into your everyday life.
By developing a deeper understanding of the solar plexus chakra and learning how to unblock chakras, you cultivate your abilities to make good decisions and see things clearly. You also refine your self-concept and can boost your overall confidence. This increase in self-esteem is useful in all chakra work, and in all areas of your existence. After all, everything in life is better if you’re able to feel good about yourself.
The solar plexus (or Manipura) chakra location is at the top of your abdomen, around the diaphragm area. You might also see it referred to as the “personal power chakra”.
Your solar plexus chakra can be blocked or knocked out of its proper alignment by anything that undermines you, by sudden changes in your life, or by difficulties associated with moving on from past mistakes. Interestingly, chakra experts also note that you can have an overactive solar plexus chakra, leading to feelings of mania or anxiety.
Symptoms of a Blocked Solar Plexus Chakra
Now that you understand the meaning of the solar plexus chakra, we can look at what happens during a blockage.
Here are the most commonly reported solar plexus chakra problems and symptoms that are linked to solar plexus blockages:
Feeling like you need to control everything and everyone around you
Feeling helpless
Difficulty seeing the “big picture” in life
Lack of purpose or direction
Low self-esteem
Dreams that lack associated plans
Unresolved guilt about the past
If you have a minor blockage, your reduced confidence or ambition might only be in one area of your life (say, work or romance). Meanwhile, a bigger blockage will be linked to universally low self-esteem and potentially even to feelings of worthlessness.
Physical symptoms caused by a blocked solar plexus chakra also include the following:
Digestive cramps
Difficulties with short-term memory
Bloating
Nausea
When you have a blocked solar plexus chakra, you won’t always be able to pinpoint the source of the problem. However, any time that you do find yourself with negative solar plexus symptoms, ask yourself if anything to do with purpose or confidence has been particularly difficult for you recently.
For example, perhaps someone has ridiculed you when you told them what you want to do with your life. Alternatively, maybe you regret a recent decision and are really struggling to see how you can move on in a productive way.
Once you have a better handle on exactly how you can push the solar plexus chakra back into its proper place, you’ll also become better at spotting the types of things that might block that chakra. In time, the goal is for solar plexus chakra exercises and techniques to become almost second nature, so that you utilize them in time to prevent a significant block.
Consequently, an open solar plexus chakra will ensure you feel self-assured, certain of your own identity, and sure of what you need to do to succeed.
  1. Use Solar Plexus Chakra Stones And Jewelry For Healing
As we have discussed before, all stones and crystals have ancient meanings and associations. As such, it’s unsurprising that there are stones allocated to each chakra.
You can use these stones in a variety of ways when opening chakras. You might wear solar plexus chakra jewelry, hold a stone in the palm of your hand when meditating, or simply carry one in your pocket to help keep your solar plexus in alignment.
Here are the stones most frequently associated with solar plexus chakra healing:
Amber: Your solar plexus chakra is marked as yellow on maps of the chakras, so yellow is often used to symbolize it more generally. Amber stones are an orangey-yellow in color, and they are linked to both confidence and mental clarity. Use this stone if you’re struggling to make a decision.
Yellow tourmaline: Yellow tourmaline is physically striking, and you’ll often see it advertised as a “detox” stone on a list of solar plexus crystals. It’s all about getting rid of negativity (both in views of yourself and the past).
Citrine: Another yellow solar plexus crystal, this pale stone is sometimes called the “success stone”. Any journey related to personal empowerment goes well with acquiring a piece of citrine, and you can also use citrine for self-esteem.
Tiger’s Eye — Golden brown — Semi-precious — A protective stone, tiger’s eye is good for grounding, cleansing and balancing.
Bumble Bee Jasper activates the Solar Plexus chakras, enabling you to accept change, find new opportunities, increase your self-esteem and make decisions without relying on emotions.
Yellow Calcite The sweet, subtle, and vibrant energy  can sometimes be felt when placed directly on the Solar Plexus Chakra and can infuse one with a sense of new hope and optimism to face the future. … Yellow Calcite can also help to calm anxieties and soothe the nerves.
  1. Solar Plexus Meditation And Yoga Techniques
Solar plexus chakra meditation techniques for beginners are easy to do if you have a basic grounding in more general meditation practice.
They begin with several minutes of deep breathing, and then once you’re suitably relaxed and focused you can move onto a visualization stage that helps you access the solar plexus chakra:
Turn your attention to your upper abdomen, where the solar plexus chakra resides.
Picture a round sphere of glowing yellow light in the center of the upper abdomen, and slowly concentrate on making the energy wider and brighter.
Imagine the sphere rotating (clockwise) as it grows, and feel the area becoming warmer and more relaxed as you do this.
After 3-5 minutes, let the energy dissipate throughout your body, take a few deep breaths again and open your eyes.
You can also add yoga poses to your day if you want to align or unblocked the solar plexus chakra. Experts on chakra work typically encourage all forms of yoga, but particular exercises are more influential on the position of the solar plexus chakra.
For example, try the child’s pose, which also offers the advantage of being very soothing:
Put a soft blanket or cushion under your knees.
Kneel down, sitting on your heels
Move your knees so they are hip-width apart.
Lean down so your torso sits between your thighs.
  1. Solar Plexus Chakra Affirmations To Use
Most affirmations are intended to help you boost your self-esteem. So, in that sense, almost any positive affirmation can reduce blockages in your solar plexus area. However, you can design specific phrases that speak directly to the solar plexus chakra. These can help to tackle underlying issues of low confidence or lack of purpose.
Try one or more of the following:
“I am the embodiment of inner peace and confidence.”
“I have high self-esteem and feel better about myself every day.”
“We don’t need to be in control of everything in our lives.”
“I’m powerful, and I am comfortable with that power.”
“I feel motivated to pursue my purpose.”
“I release myself from negative past experiences.”
“I’m ambitious, capable, and ready to fulfill my purpose.”
“I know I am worthy, good and capable.”
“I forgive myself for past mistakes, and I learn from them.”
“The only thing I need to control is how I respond to situations.”
Remember that you can be as creative as you like when it comes to affirming. Change, remove and add words as you see fit.
In addition, try putting your hand on the area of your solar plexus as you say your chakra-aligning affirmation.

SACRAL CHAKRA

If you’re working towards creative goals or want to facilitate change in general, it’s wise to get a proper handle on the sacral chakra in particular.
By working on the sacral chakra, you learn how to tap into your creativity. The resulting openness will also give you a boost when working with any of the other chakras.
The sacral chakra location is in the center of your abdomen, just a couple of inches below your navel. Sometimes called the Svadhishthana, it is the second chakra and is related to everything about you that is tied to creation. This means not only your artistic output but also your sex drive, imagination, and potential for personal growth.
Symptoms of a Blocked Sacral Chakra
Like any chakra, the sacral chakra has the power to make you feel emotionally and physically destabilized. Some of the most common sacral chakra problems and symptoms include the items on this list:
Boredom
Feeling easily offended
Lack of creative inspiration
Fear of change
Guilt about the past
Low self-worth
Jealousy
Addictive behaviors (including the unhealthy use of drugs or alcohol, but also extending to behaviors like excessive spending, sexual compulsions, gambling problems, and overeating).
Physical manifestations of a troubled sacral chakra include the following:
Low energy
Reduced libido
Bladder discomfort
Worsened allergy symptoms
It isn’t always possible to figure out what has caused your sacral chakra to become blocked. When considering this issue, however, do keep in mind that anything to do with change, creativity or sexuality can push your sacral chakra out of position.
Some commonplace examples might include sexual incompatibility in a relationship, rejection from a crush, rejection of your creative output (e.g. everything from a business to a novel), and reproductive health problems. Once you cultivate the skills required to realign the sacral chakra, it’ll become easier to notice life events that might block this chakra. You’ll then have a series of techniques to perform that might stop a blockage before it even begins.
Any of the following can influence the sacral chakra (and can, in turn, be influenced by it):
How inspired you feel
Your ability to be playful with others
Your satisfaction in romantic relationships
How much pleasure you feel in all areas of life
Your confidence in the things you create
Feedback on anything artistic
Whenever your sacral chakra is open, you’ll feel dynamic, stimulated and full of ideas. Alignment in this chakra also gives you the confidence to make significant changes to the way you live your life.
In contrast, your sacral chakra can be pushed out of alignment or blocked by anything that’s boring, repetitive or stifling. In addition, if someone gives you negative feedback about your creativity or sexuality, your sacral chakra can be negatively influenced as a result.

  1. Use Sacral Chakra Stones And Jewelry For Healing

It is also worn to attract love, and increases one’s enjoyment of sensual activities.
  1. Sacral Chakra Meditation And Yoga Techniques
Sacral chakra meditations follow many of the same steps as a standard meditation practice, but they usually involve a visualization component that helps you to unblock the power center at your navel.
Yoga can also complement your chakra work very well. Any yoga practice will help to align the chakras, but there are specific poses that target the sacral chakra.
In particular, try Dvipada Pitham, which involves lying on your back and lifting your hips at the same time as you lift your arms up and over your head (supporting your body with the shoulders throughout). This is one of the best sacral chakra yoga poses.
  1. Sacral Chakra Affirmations To Use
As you probably already know, using affirmations is a way to rewrite old limiting beliefs with positive, affirming ones. You can design powerful affirmations that speak to the sacral chakra. You can say them anytime you encounter a trigger for sacral chakra blockage, or when you’re worried that your sacral chakra may already be misaligned.
Here are some sacral chakra affirmations to try:
“I deserve to experience pleasure and have my needs met.”
“I am confident that what I offer the world is enough.”
“It is safe to express my sexual self in fun, creative and healthy ways.”
“I attract relationships with loving, good people who will support me.”

“I am full of inspiration and the potential for creation.”
“My body is vibrant, and I am comfortable inside it.”
“I am a strong, creative person and I love what I create.”
“I am ready for positive change and for deep personal growth.”
Say them when you first wake up, or before you enter a situation that triggers the type of sacral chakra blockage symptoms mentioned above.

Pendulums

Pendulum, body suspended from a fixed point so that it can swing back and forth under the influence of gravity.

A pendulum, to put it shortly, is a tool of divination where there is something attached to a chain wherein you can let the object swing itself for answers. This form of divination is very simple. It utilizes gravity and momentum to respond to energies. It is a tool that connects to your intuition, in a way. You can even use a plain necklace as a pendulum if you want.

History Of Pendulum

Pendulum devices have been used by people from different cultures for over thousands of years. The oldest known recorded use is eight thousand years old, found in cave drawings in   Algeria. Chinese people, especially emperors, used pendulums to predict the future. Moses used a dowsing rod to find water hidden in a rock. Pendulum/Dowsing and its devices have fallen in and out of favor over the years and there have been many periods in history when the practice was outlawed. People have been imprisoned, tortured, and burned at the stake just for using a pendulum or other dowsing tools.

In the early twentieth century, the practice of pendulum/dowsing found good light when new uses, diagnostic and healing methods called medical “radiesthesia” were discovered. Though scientists still could not explain how pendulum/dowsing worked, complicated mechanical devices were invented in the hopes of harnessing the mysterious power behind it all. Scientist Albert Einstein embraced the concept.

The pendulum method is a very simple way of speaking with all kinds of spirits. All you require is a dowsing pendulum, or a crystal on a chain. They are for answering yes and no questions.

Before using you must first train your pendulum for you and learn which way is yes and which way is no.

OgZ DeZigns recommends cleansing your Pendulum before use with smudging. Once this is complete follow the below steps.

  1. Hold the pendulum and set it in motion. Relax and bring your mind into the present moment.
  2. Tell your pendulum (or, actually, you’re telling your subconscious mind) to show you ‘yes’.
  3. Give the pendulum a minute or so. Pay close attention to the direction it swings. Is it going side to side (horizontal swinging)? Toward you and away from you (vertical swinging)? Is it going in circles (circular swinging) and if so, is it going clockwise or counter-clockwise? Whatever the movement, this should be the movement your pendulum performs for you whenever the answer is in the affirmative.
  4. Ask your pendulum to show you ‘no’. Give it a minute. You’ll notice the direction it swings will change. This should be the ‘negative’ answer.
  5. Ask your pendulum a few yes/no questions to which you know the answer to test the programming. I might ask, “Is my name Samantha?” and look for a ‘no’ answer. Then I’d ask, “Is my name Amy ?” and look for a ‘yes’ answer. Then ask, “Is my name Rosemary?” and wait for a ‘no’. Do this with a few different simple questions.

Once you have clarified what movement is yes and what movement is no you can begin asking questions.

  1. Once you are finished asking questions, always say Goodbye to close communication with Spirit.

Keep your pendulum in a safe place when not in use. On your altar, in a bag, and most importantly don’t let others use it.

If you feel stressed or uncomfortable at any time, stop immediately. You should always trust your intuition, and it may be an indication that there is an unfriendly spirit nearby.
